Audubon Center for Birds of Prey - Maitland, FL

Recently one of my co-workers went to the Audubon Center for Birds of Prey and told me I had to go to add it to the blog.  It is a small center that rehabilitates and nurtures birds of prey that have been injured in the wild.  There were Eagles, Falcons, owls, vultures, etc.  Some of the animals are in cages (the ones that can fly) and the others that have clipped wings or can no longer flyer are outside on perches.  I never had been that close to these wonderful types of birds.

the bird is an actual representation of their wing span

Inside the house (towards the end of the tour) they housed some of the smaller species and babies of the birds of prey.

The charge or donation is $5/adult and $4/child.  Remember they only take cash!!!!
